On December 22, the Board of Directors of China Medical System Holdings
Limited (“CMS” or “the Group”) is pleased to announce that the
Environmental, Social and Governance Committee (the “ESG Committee”) has been
formed with immediate effect, and an organization-wide ESG Working Group has
been formed as well, to conduct the ESG management work in a systematic and
standardized way based on the top-level design.
CMS undertakes “carrying out the concept
of environmental protection, achieving the value of social responsibility,
being committed to becoming a leading sustainable pharmaceutical enterprise in
China” as its goal of development with high execution. With CMS’s outstanding
performance in Environmental, Social and Governance management, the Group’s ESG
rating has been upgraded by three levels from “BB” to “AA” in
2020, reaching the global leading level.
The establishment of
ESG Committee will lead the Group to practice corporate social responsibility consistently,
contributing to the sustainable development of the environment and society!
