LONDON (Thomson Financial) – China Medical Systems Holdings Ltd. said the Chinese State Food and Drug Administration has approved the renewal of the import drug license of antidepressant Deanxit until April 2013.
China Medical said the license grants H. Lundbeck A/S the manufacturer of Deanxit， the right to register， import and sell Deanxit in China.According to China Medical， Deanxit‘s sales have increased by around 30 percent year-on-year in the past four years， reaching a record sales of $26 million in 2007.
China Medical said it recently signed a new addendum extending the exclusive agency agreement with Lundbeck to sell and market Deanxit in China — excluding Hong Kong and Macau — up to the end of 2013 and it is confident that sales of Deanxit will continue to perform well in the coming years.
