The 29th Kangzhe-Falk Symposium

China Medical System Holdings Limited(AIM:CMSH) is pleased to announce that， for the purpose of strengthening international academic exchanges and pushing the deep promotion of Ursofalk in China market， the 29^th Kangzhe-Falk Symposium was hold in Kunming on 5^th July 2009， co-sponsored by CMS and Falk Foundation e.V. Germany.

The symposium invited Professor Gustav Paumgartner， the honourary chairman of EASL (European Association for the Study of the Liver) and Professor of Medicine in the University of Munich， to present a report named Medical Treatment of Cholestatic Liver Diseases (“CLD”) for approximately 100 doctors from Yunnan Province. Professor Gustav Paumgartner introduced latest progress in diagnosis and treatment of CLD， especially the hot spot in clinical research recently- Immunoglobulin G4-associated Cholangitis and emphasized the importance of UDCA (Ursodeoxycholic acid) when treating CLD. Attended doctors also fell into a lively discussion with Professor Gustav Paumgartner on clinical difficulties after the report.

In addition， the symposium also invited famous professor Lungen Lu from Shanghai First People’s Hospital to introduce Fatty Liver and Metabolic Syndrome for local attendees. This successful symposium further inspired new ideas for the diagnosis and treatment of CLD in China， and was believed to benefit more Chinese patients.
