The Shanghai International Conference on Digestive System Disease from Sep. 11th to 13th was organized by Xinhua Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, the Cleveland Clinic’s Center for International Medical Education and Digestive Disease Institute, USA, and the Department of Medical and Health Sciences, Chinese Academy of Engineering, and sponsored by the Editorial Office of Chinese Journal of Practical Hepatology, Shanghai Medical Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, and the Committee of Experts of Fatty Liver Disease, China Physicians Association. Over 500 domestic and overseas experts attended the 2-day conference.
Chairman Professor Jiangao Fan made the welcome and opening address. More than 30 experts from North America, Western Europe and Asia countries presented the meeting. The main focus of the meeting was medical, surgical and endoscope evaluation and treatment of fatty liver disease and inflammation bowel disease.
There is no doubt that the successful meeting would facilitate and strengthen the academic communication and collaboration among the countries and districts that attended the meeting, and further improve the level of diagnosis on such disease.
