Recently, affected by Typhoon Maysak combined with sustained heavy rainfall, several regions in Guangxi experienced rising river levels, urban and rural flooding, and other hazards. Transportation and public services were disrupted to varying degrees, and local residents faced mounting pressures on daily life and primary healthcare access. As floodwaters recede and cleanup operations progress, post-disaster health protection efforts have entered a critical phase, including ensuring safe drinking water, environmental disinfection, and preventing intestinal diseases.

In this race against the storm, CMS responded swiftly and mobilized resources without delay. Through the Shenzhen Charity Federation, the company donated medical supplies worth over RMB 1 million to the affected areas, including disinfectants and anti-diarrheal medications, to support essential healthcare services and primary-level health protection in the disaster-hit areas. The supplies have been dispatched to the front lines under the Federation’s coordination, expedited to reach those in need and contribute to disaster relief and post-disaster recovery.

Safeguarding life and health is the most fundamental mission of a pharmaceutical company and its most natural responsibility in times of crisis. Every box of supplies is a commitment to “putting lives first”, every effort made is a promise to “walking alongside society”.

The storm will eventually pass, and our communities will be rebuilt. CMS will continue to closely monitor the recovery progress in Guangxi, working alongside all parties to overcome challenges together and contribute sustainable strength to safeguarding public health and building a better life.
